Southern Bassapalooza on the Fly 2022 Rules June 11th, 2022 Registration Deadline is April 20th, 2022 - Entry Fee is $200 per team. Instead of picking up the Registration Packet this year, we will have a pre-party at the Gravel Bar on June 10th, 2022, including tasty brews, food, and live music, 8:30 to midnight. The concert and camping is included with the registration fee. Floyd’s Landing will still be open for tournament use, but the awards ceremony will take place at 5pm on June 11th at The Gravel Bar. Fishing Report: August 3rd, 2021

Etowah River: We’re at the tail end of striper season, but spotted bass fishing is only going to get better from now till October! If you do plan on striper fishing, the first and last two or three hours of the day are key periods. Try throwing an intermediate clear tip line with a long 7/8 foot leader consisting of 40/30/20lb fluorocarbon with white or white/chartreuse bucktail flies, EP baitfish in tan/white, olive/white, or gray/white, and Major Mullet or Major Sardine patterns. Fishing Report: 6/19/21

It's been a little while since we've done a fishing report! The best thing going this weekend is most likely going to be smaller streams in the mountains. We're anticipating rain in the forecast. Some of the best creek fish we catch are in higher water conditions and pre-frontal conditions can be extremely productive if you can get out before the weather moves in, but don't forget a rain jacket. If we get a decent amount of rain, try streamers in black like a Jawbreaker, Sparkle Minnows, Kreelex, or a heavily weighted stonefly nymph like a TungStone or Two-Bit Stone. Introducing Jason Davis!

We are excited to announce the addition of Jason Davis to our guide staff! Jason specializes in Shoal Bass and will be guiding fly fishing trips for these river gems. Jason grew up in South Alabama and was a tournament bass angler in his formative years. Jason has also guided whitewater rafting trips, fly fishing trips with Glacier Anglers in West Glacier for West Slope Cutthroat Trout, and has been a professional touring musician. Shoal Bass are one of Georgia's many unique bass species and are only native to the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin (ACF).
